Hi, Witches!
I hope you all had a fantastic Samhain, whatever you got up to.
I can’t believe that we’re in November already, the months are just flying by. I’m sure that most weeks, I wake up on Sunday, blink, and its Thursday already! Anybody else feel like this? Or is it just me?!
Anyway, today I wanted to talk to you all about Vision Boards.
We all know that visualisation is a huge part of witchcraft, particularly when performing manifestation spells, and a vision board can be an extremely useful tool to have. Working on the basis of the Law of Attraction, it allows us to attract into our lives whatever it is that we are focusing on.
So, just what is a vision board?
Basically, a vision board is anything that you use to visually represent what you want in life. It’s a collection of images, quotes, phrases and items of meaning, that you assemble with the intention of bringing those things into your life. Traditionally, this would involve cutting out pictures and words from magazines etc and sticking them onto a piece of paper, but today we have a whole host of alternative methods of creating a vision board at our disposal. Pinterest being an obvious option. No one method is right or wrong, it is all about your preferences and what works best for you as an individual.
What does a vision board do exactly?
For me, vision boards have two purposes. Firstly, they help to provide clarity on what it is that I truly want to manifest. The process involved in collecting items for my board really helps me to home in on precisely what I want and also what I don’t want.
Secondly, my board helps me to maintain that focus. Placed where I will see it regularly, each glance is a subtle reminder of what I want and helps to strengthen my intention.
So, whilst not traditionally witchy, a vision board is a perfect addition to your magickal toolbox because our magick really benefits from intentions which are strong, clear and precise.
The process of creating your board can also be made more magickal by approaching it like you would a spell. Casting a circle, incorporating the elements and the use of corresponding colours, herbs, crystal chips etc can all aid in bringing focus and infusing the board with your energy and intent.
And, for us witchy mamas, vision boards are a great activity to do with our little witchlings.
Have you ever used a vision board in your practice? Is it something that you think you might like to try? Let me know in the comments or, if you feel comfortable doing so, share your boards in the Wilderness Witches Coven.
I really need to do this. Thank you! Xxxx
