The celebration of Samhain/Halloween falls on Sunday 31st October, where most kids are off their rockers on copious amounts of sugar whilst running amok around the streets, dressed as ghouls and most probably the odd Elsa from Frozen too. For us Witches, it is way more than that, for it marks the end of harvest time and a time to remember loved ones who have passed over. Held at the time of year when the boundaries between the worlds of the living and dead come the closest together and the souls of the dead can return for one night to revisit their families.
Why not light a candle for each soul you wish to remember, set the table with spare space for extra visitors, feast and recall the good times had with those who are no longer with us. It’s such a lovely way of keeping their memory alive! How will you be celebrating this time of the year, I’d love to hear from you.
